I just finished working on the Solar Magic page of the website. Yesterday, I left off with the page half way finished. It had the content, but when I tried adding the products through Amazon, it messed up the fonts. It took me forever to find out what was going wrong in the HTML code. When I finally got it fixed, it was time to go to work. I thought I was going to finish it after work, but felt inspired in another direction and ended up writing Lucky Charms for Dinner.
At 7:30, while having morning coffee in my fuzzy mauve bathrobe, sitting on the sofa with the laptop in my lap, I set back to the task of adding products. Adding the products was no problem and I had a lot of fun finding the ones I wanted, but when I published the post, the bold text was stripped from the names of the Deities, solar figures, and zodiac signs. It took me a full hour of changing code to realize that the font I chose for my website theme (Merriweather), was not compatible with what I was trying to accomplish, so I had to change the whole website font style to Arial, and as soon as I did, the problem was solved.
I had it on my list to work on my about/contact page today, but I'm not feeling the love over there. I'd rather work on another piece of content. Part of me wants to continue in the Timely Magic section to finish it out with Planetary Magic and Timewalking, but I think those are kinda deep in and I'd rather get some of the other "main doors" with "real content" instead of the placeholder text. I think I'll do Earthy Magic next. So that's where I'll be for the next however long. I'll post a progress update in a bit.

I got sidetracked. I noticed that the timestamps in these blog posts (which also means all similar headings throughout the website) were a gray color that I didn't like. I wanted them to be that enchanting blurple color that I'm so obsessed with. It took me that long discussing options and doing trial/error replacement HTML code with Chat GPT until it gave me the right CSS code and told me where to put it to change that heading throughout the site. Well worth the detour. It's all in the details. Now, on with the show and back to Earthly Magic.

- Added intro and bottom page quote to Earthy Magic main page.
- Added each of the four images and linked them to their pages.
- Used Chat GPT to wrap images in silver border, turn intro text "blurple", and align the images from left to right in a row.

- Lammas / Lughnasadh - Wheel of the Year (August 1st)
- Corn Moon - Lunar Magic (August 9th)
- One for each of the herbs/plants/flowers
- One for the crystal
- Finished crafting Lammas / Lughnasadh page (still needs Amazon links throughout). I enjoyed this one a lot. For as long as I've known about the wheel of the year, I did not know all of this and cannot wait to do the recipes and crafts myself that week.
- Added a search bar to the website
- Noticed the text on the main doorway pages didn't match - some were black and left aligned, some were centered and my blurple color, so I edited them so they'd all be centered and blurple for consistency. I leave the article pages black and left-aligned, but I like the portal pages to be colorful.
- Noticed the doorway names on the home page were mismatched from all the other portal pages, so I removed the links from the captions, removed italics, and made black for consistency.
11:04 p.m.
- Doorway links on home page were broken so I fixed them.
- Fixed alignment issues with headings on the Enchanted Elements page.
- There was a missing caption from the last image on the Enchanted Elements Page
- Fixed issue on Lammas page with font size/style on image captions.
