Daily Update 7-8-25

10:30 a.m.

Last night, as I was falling asleep, I had a vision that I had misplaced or neglected a huge chunk of information under timely magic. I had four options under Timely Magic: Moon Magic, Enchantmonths, Wheel of the Year, and Days of the Week. At first, I was quite satisfied with that, but then the creativity faerie visited and said, Hey, what if you took away moon magic and did this instead:

  • Timely Magic
    • Celestial Magic
      • Lunar Magic
      • Solar Magic
      • Planetary Magic
      • Cosmic Time (with things like Nonlinear time, quantum leaps and timeline shifting, past life work, parallel realities, etc)
Look at that whole cosmic section that I hadn't left room for! Yes! And so that's where my focus is right now. I'll be creating the pages on the back end, designing the door images, and linking everything together before I start building out their content. I'm building the bones.

As for this morning, I updated the content for the Weekly Magic pillar post under the Timely Magic category. I had a really good time with this one. I learned a lot, and I cannot wait to start digging in to the long-form content for each day of the week. I get so excited that I have to try to calm myself because I want to create all this content at once, and I get impatient with myself. And yet, I refuse (refuse!) to rush the process. I'm hyper-focused on each element here, and I want to see my vision through to its fullest.

I enjoyed finding the products to feature on the Weekly Magic pillar post. I found these elegant planetary globes that are collector's items. They had one for each planet, except for the sun, but I did find a suitable substitute for the sun in a white and gold globe of the Earth. I'll check back in this afternoon before my shift at the bank to update progress.

P.S. - I think I just found a format I love for this "Captain's Log" of website updates. Blog style, diary style, the why behind the what, including the how - documenting my journey and thought process. Since I work sporadically throughout the day and am often too tired after work to try to recount the day, I'll just do little check-ins between sessions to log progress. I like it.

12:11 p.m.

I did it! I'm so proud of myself. I wasn't sure I'd get it done before work, but I did. It'll be my last task of the day 'cause I'm gonna rest for an hour and then have lunch before my 2:00 shift at the bank, but here's what we did:

I've got the pillar post for Lunar Magic already done, but will have to work on the ones for Solar Magic and Time Walking. One of the things I love about this process of laying out the foundation and building the bones is that it helps me realize I will never run out of content ideas, and I adore the way my personal book of shadows is coming together. This is something I've always wanted and it's manifesting perfectly. Not without effort, but it is manifesting.

11:22 p.m.

End of day. I'm finding it hard to focus during my bank shifts because I'd rather be here building and enjoying the space. I'm cozy here. It's my happy place. Anyway, I had lots of time to mull things over between phone calls when it was slow, and after work I took the time to put those thoughts to digital paper with Becoming Her in the Wendi's Writing section of the Blog.

At work I was thinking about the blank place holder pages and how much I didn't like them, but they were necessary. Tonight, I came up with a solution and stored the HTML code to use for each new place holder page I need to create. On it is a link to see What's New, visit Wendi's Writings, Contact Me and follow me on social, and then a link to go back home (to keep it the uniform 4 doors per page). I then plugged that code into every existing empty page, so now I can go to bed knowing there's not a single empty page in the site and I'm proud of the placeholder pages.

It's 12:30 a.m. and I'm going to bed right on time. I expect to be back here working on updates between nine and 10 a.m. - I work tomorrow, but not until two, so I have the whole morning to focus on building my magical treasure.
