I wanted to write the herb index so I could link the herbs from August Enchantmonths. But I wanted there to be more than just an index when you click on the herbs link. So, I devised a 4-door plan, then created the door images, then created the pages, then stuck in the temporary page fillers, linked it all together, and now I have something to work with. This morning's efforts so far include:
- Herbs (already created)
- The Magic of Herbs (for longform pillar post of articles related to herbs)
- The Herb Index (a list of herbs from A-Z, a pillar post that will link to individual herbs)
- Herbs by Intention (to discover which herbs work best for what)
- The Apartment Herb Garden (because I want one)
Note to self: Redo the image for Earthly Magic - Herbs & Flowers. It should say "Herbs, Flowers, Plants, and Trees." - I don't have the time to mess with it right now but it needs fixed.
Quick break, then going back in to craft the pillar post for Herb Magic, and hopefully, the herb index. Tomorrow I can do the three herbs for August:
- Rosemary: remembrance, focus, and energetic protection
- Chamomile: calm, gentle integration, and restful balance
- Sunflower: devotion, radiance, and light held in the heart
Then Wednesday I can set up the images/pages for the Crystals and work toward crafting the specific pieces for August's crystals in a crystal index:
- Carnelian: vitality, confidence, and courageous follow-through
- Citrine: abundance, clarity, and solar warmth
- Moss Agate: grounding, slow growth, and connection to the fertile earth
Oh, and let me just amend this to say this: I LOVE the doors I did for the herb section with their little gnomes. I think I enjoy the process of creating the images just as much as I like building out the bones. It's a creative process that brings me peace and I physically and spiritually smile when I see one completed just the way I imagined. I know there are a lot of people that are anti-AI, but to be honest, I'm not one of them. The world is moving in that direction with or without me, and the fastest way to grow old and out of touch is to resist evolution. I respect other people's opinions and will not debate the issue, but for me, it's a positive thing and I see a lot of potential in this technology.
And another P.S. - I want to redo some of the darker doors so they're more vibrant. I love the ones on the Earthly Magic side, but not a fan of the one for Mystic Muse updates on the blog, and not sure I love the gold emblems happening in Enchanted Elements, but I'll table those tasks because there's too much else to do. Maybe I can play with those on my days off this week.

I'm not sure I'll hit my whole goal for today, it may have been a bit lofty, but I did get this done:

- Herbs & Plants
I love how this came out. It's got a list of 20 articles that will evolve to become individual pieces on their own. I now have a clear content guide for this section. Now all I need is more time in a day to tend to it. ;)
Now I want to do the herb index. I don't know if I'll get it done today. I have work at the bank at 2, so I'll hunker down and see how far I can get. I definitely won't have Enchanted Elements all the way done by tomorrow, but I'm making really good progress and I'm showing myself grace over it. The truth is, this website is still too new and incomplete to index, so I doubt anyone is going to be here wondering where all the missing content is. It'll grow in time as it can without me exhausting or pressuring myself to do it. This is mine, for me, a resource I've wanted so badly for so long and now I'm weaving it all together. And I'm enjoying the process so much.
Okay, enough chatter. Off to make an herbal indes.
